HV Mag System
Feeding is the complaint that follows the Ruger American around. On the AR-magazine guns it traces back to a factory magazine that hangs below the stock line and takes the blame when a round noses into the feed ramp. The bottleneck guns use a different factory magazine and can feed just as poorly.
The HV Mag System is a magazine upgrade that goes a level deeper. Instead of dropping another magazine into the same magazine well, each kit replaces the bottom metal with a machined aluminum assembly cut for the cartridge group you shoot. That is what makes it a magazine well conversion rather than a magazine replacement.
Every kit fits Ruger American Gen 1 and Gen 2, is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard-coat anodized, and installs at home with the hardware included. The magazine sits nearly flush where the factory AR unit hangs low, and it feeds extended-length ammunition the factory magazine cannot.
