At 350 yards, this ammo achieves a 24-inch reduction in vertical drop compared to OEM 450 Bushmaster and other 400 Legend cartridges, ensuring superior flat-shooting accuracy. It also has about 24% less recoil in an 8-pound rifle compared to the 450 Bushmaster (250 grain OEM ammo), delivering a more comfortable and controlled shooting experience. Our innovative design features a 13% larger frontal diameter than the 350 Legend and an 11% increase in expanded bullet diameter. The 165-grain HV bullet has consistently demonstrated unrivaled stopping power and accuracy over the past year, making it an excellent addition to our ammunition offerings. This bullet construction delivers exceptional weight retention, ensuring the projectile maintains its mass even after encountering heavy bone.
 
Loaded into Peterson Cartridge Companies new 400 Legend brass. Each cartridge case offers exceptional durability and can be reloaded up to 20 times, ensuring consistent performance and long-lasting value for shooters who wish to reload the spent casing. This ammunition is offered in convenient 20-round packs and housed in a sleek, reusable snap-lid container.
 
Notes: Casings have discoloration due to annealing of the case mouths which is not pictured in the product image above. Savage rifles may produce about 50 fps higher velocities due to their unique barrel dimensions. If you wish to feed this ammo through the magazine, please measure the opening of your magazine to ensure it will fit into your magazine (opening must be longer than 2.400"). Ruger American rifles can use this ammunition if our HV Mag System is installed in the rifle.

    Fantastic accuracy. The most accurate shells on the market, in my opinion. I shot 3 shots at 200 yards, and they hit in an area 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" tall. I am sure the variance is more me than the shells. I cannot hold any closer than that. I shot 2 deer with these and the bullets did a perfect mushroom, exactly like the picture shown. I weighed the bullet, and it was 161.1 grains. I am guessing the 3.9-grain difference is the plastic insert in the tip. This is the only shell I will ever shoot. Thank you to Bear Creek for a fantastic, quality product!!

    I just finished sighting in my new CVA Scout 400 Legend with the 165 Gr HV bullets. After getting it dialed in, I was shooting a 1" group at 100 yards. Love Bear Creek and will be a customer for a long time.

    Cycles well through the mag of the Savage 110 Trail Hunter. Shot 10 shots at 100 yards, can cover them with a quarter.
