We developed this 450 Bushmaster ammo for hunters who want the true performance that the 450 Bushmaster cartridge is capable of when chambered in a bolt action or single shot rifle. Our unique all-copper bullet expands down to 1,150 fps which can give hunters the ability to extend their range. With a muzzle velocity of 2,565 fps, this 240-grain bullet has just 15" of drop at 300 yards and 1,100 ft-lbs. of energy at 350 yards! This is only for use in bolt action and single shot rifles, not for use in AR platforms.

- The HV ammunition is designed for bolt action rifles with full length magazines (Ruger -American, Christensen Arms Mesa, Bergara B-14, Remington 700 customs) and single shot rifles.
- The HV ammunition is too long to fit in the magazine and the action of the Howa Mini action.
- If you have a Mossberg Patriot or a Savage Apex you will need a full-length detachable magazine (.308, .243 length) to use the HV ammunition (Mossberg P/N 95347).
- If you have a CVA Cascade, you will need a full-length detachable magazine to use the HV ammunition (CVA P/N AC1100).
- If you have a Ruger M77 in 450 Bushmaster you will need the box magazine, fowler and fowler spring for the .308, .243 length cartridges to use the HV ammunition (Part #: 721980 – Magazine Box, .243 & .308 Cal, Part #: 721020A – Magazine Follower-Short Action, Part #: 1827860 – Magazine Spring). Bought my savage 450 bushmaster hoping I could get accurate too 300 yards, but I quickly realized that wasn’t gonna happen. Bought several different brands of ammunition but none grouped well even at 100 yards. Spoke to a friend and he suggested bear creek ballistics. Long story short with bear creek I am grouping well at 200 yards.

I bought a Bergara 450 Bushmaster and bullets from 5 different manufacturers to test with it. The 240 HV grouped more consistently and shot extremely well out to 300 yards. I went on a trip to ILL this year and hammered a 150” 8 point. Incredible blood trail for the 25 yards that it ran!! I Highly recommend the Bear Creek 240 Grain HV ammo I use this in a CVA Scout 450 Bushmaster for central Illinois whitetail hunting and coyotes, the complete knock down and the velocity is way beyond my expectations, the blood trail would been very good if needed, was very impressed with little to none shock on any of the meat! This is my go to ammo from now on !

Brother n law and I both shot 200lb Bucks this year his hard quartering away mine hard quartering too. Both broke shoulders and got two holes despite the hard angle. His was 40 yrds mine was 210 yrds both deer down in sight. Have loved their 350 ammo just wanted a little more reach
